For a number of years Legacy has been a contracted logistics carrier for Oracle OpenWorld, the world’s largest conference for Oracle customers and technologists. The event was held September 22 – 26, 2013 in San Francisco. In addition to Moscone Convention Center, the event encompassed every major hotel in the area. More than 41,000 people attended this year’s event.

Legacy’s special event logistics teams support a range of sophisticated projects, including very large private business events like Oracle Open World.

The special event logistics teams consist of a project manager in the office that leads the coordination between Legacy teams and the client, assures all logistics coordination and transportation needs are met when and where needed – to and from the event sites. Services also include crating and transporting high-value and sensitive equipment. The on-site event team works closely with the client and the drayage company to coordinate and dispatch deliveries at specific days, times and locations to assure no congestion, maintain a steady flow of deliveries and meet client timelines and requirements.

Oracle OpenWorld is a huge undertaking for all involved. The event also coincided this year with the America’s Cup Yacht races which concluded with a spectacular “come from behind” win by Team USA!
