Legacy Celebrates its Employees

Legacy recently honored its employees with an annual celebration to highlight the best of the best. The 2014 awards presentation had an Olympics theme and was held at the Legacy corporate office with employees at Legacy’s other offices in La Mirada, Chicago and Las Vegas participating via video feed.

Service awards and gifts were also presented to employees with 5, 7, 10 and 15 years of employment with the company.

In addition to service awards, special awards in recognition of team members who have gone above and beyond are given each year. Special award recipients are chosen by the company and by fellow employees for their accomplishments during the past year.

The awards event was followed by a luncheon BBQ where more gifts were given away with a raffle.

Legacy Special Recognition Recipients:

Employee of the Year – This honor is given to a dedicated individual who exceeds expectations on a daily basis. Employee of the Year: Vie Iv, Systems Administrator.

Excellence in Client Services—Awarded to the individual who provides outstanding service to both internal and external customers. Employee Honoree: Frank Gonzalez, Inventory Control Clerk.

Department of the Year—This is awarded to the department that most exhibited outstanding service to either or both internal / external customers. Department: Human Resources.

David Quinn Work Ethic Memorial Award—Awarded to the individual who most represents the spirit which David Quinn stood for: High Work Ethics. Employee Honoree: Chanel Quinn, Customer Service Representative

Joseph Migliozzi Innovation Award—This award goes to the individual whose forward thinking, ideas, products, suggestions, cost saving proposals or the like, prompted or created a significant change for the better. Employee Honoree: John Ordaz, Director of Sales.

You Can Impact the Rising Cost of Fuel – Take Action Now


Over the years rising gas prices have affected us all, on both a personal and industry-wide level.

On January 1, 2015, a new law impacting motor vehicle fuel is scheduled to go into effect in California. It is expected to raise the price of gasoline by at least 16 cents per gallon, and as much as 76 cents per gallon. This will result in higher gas prices for vehicle owners, which in turn will increase the cost of consumer goods.

This means the cost of fuel for shipments, particularly in California, will go up. The impact on fuel surcharges and increased fuel prices will be significant.

If you are concerned about the rising cost of gas, you can take action and let your voice be heard. The California Drivers Alliance has put together a petition you can sign:
