Where Did Labor Day Come From?

Labor Day was created as a way to acknowledge and pay tribute to the workforce for all they have done to make our country prosperous and strong.

The first Labor Day was celebrated in New York City, and other cities followed this example the following years. In 1894 Congress passed a law making the first Monday of September a legal holiday.

Legacy will be closed on September 1st, so our employees can enjoy time with family and friends. Have a Great Labor Day!

Great Night at the Ballpark for Legacy !

Legacy’s Annual Family Night at the San Jose Giants Municipal Stadium was held August 1st. The Giants took on the Stockton Ports, which is the Oakland A’s farm team. The Giants won the game 5-3. Each employee received tickets to the game, so they could enjoy the game with family and friends.

Three employees were selected to participate in the SJ Giants “Bash for Cash” contest. This is a contest where a Giants player has to hit a target and if he does, the employee gets a gift certificate. One Legacy employee was a winner!

Legacy family and friends packed the stands to see a great winning game.
