Four members of the Legacy organization, Shelly Gipson, Tony Jenson, John Ordaz and John Otten traveled to St. Louis, Missouri in February for five intensive days of education and training about logistics, specialized transportation, operational safety, quality initiatives and new programs that will bring benefits and enhancements to Legacy’s valued customers.

Some examples of the valued information included:

  • A session on new technologically advanced safety products that will help all drivers in the Unigroup fleet
  • Warehouse best practices to improve efficiency in operations, key performance indicators (KPI’s), new safety measures, and new technology
  • Supply chain management training on the core principals of the flow of goods and products including the different elements of manufacturing and distribution as well as installation and reverse logistics
  • Customer Service programs to help communication with clients and how to improve timely information flow

In all there were over 40 breakout tracks on topics to help agents stay abreast of new technology, logistics trends and new services.

Another highlight for Legacy was the “UniGroup Master Club Inner Circle” award that went to John Migliozzi, President of Legacy, for excellence in sales.

The team returned to the Legacy home office energized and with lots of valuable information to share with company associates.
