The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is responsible for managing air sanitation and motor vehicle pollution in the State of California.
CARB has implemented a new regulation that requires trucks over 14,000 lbs to install exhaust filters that capture pollutants before they are emitted into the air.
This change is projected to reduce emissions in California by about 13 tons per day in 2014.
Trucks and trailers operating in California must be in compliance with these regulations by December 31, 2013 or be subject to significant fines and penalties.
CARB-compliant equipment is critically important to Legacy’s ability to service all of our California shipments and critically important to our planet.
Legacy is doing its part to make the air in California and the country cleaner for everyone.
